Knowledge should illuminate more than events
Events tell us what happened. Serious inquiry asks why it became possible, whose power shaped it, what evidence supports competing explanations, and which conditions could alter what happens next.
Our aim is public scholarship: intellectually responsible work written clearly enough to enlarge the reasoning power of citizens, educators, and communities.
