Privacy & Contact

Effective and last updated: 20 October 2026.

Ed4Peace offers educational resources for learners, teachers and educators worldwide. This notice explains the information involved in using ed4peace.org and how to contact the person responsible.

Who we are and how to reach us

Snea Thinsan (Snea Thinsan, Ph.D.) operates the Education for Peace Foundation educational initiative in California, United States of America. The initiative is not incorporated. Purchases of learning materials are not offered as tax-deductible charitable donations.

For questions, access problems, content corrections or privacy requests, email sthinsan@gmail.com. You may also contact director@ed4peace.org. For a privacy request, please use the subject “Ed4Peace privacy request.”

Tell us the page or purchase involved and the email address associated with it. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details, identity documents or personal information about your students.

Information we use

Visits and website services. Our hosting, security, spam-prevention and statistics services can process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, pages visited and visit times. This helps operate and protect the website and understand its use.

Accounts and payments, where used. We use account identifiers, contact details and purchase or membership records to recognise access, answer questions, and manage payments, refunds or disputes. These records may include the item, amount, currency, date and transaction reference. Enter payment details only in the payment provider’s checkout.

Messages and forms. We receive the name, email address and message you provide. Website forms can also record your IP address, browser and signed-in site account. Support messages may be stored in WordPress and sent to our email inbox. We use them to respond, investigate problems and manage unwanted submissions.

Newsletters and public contributions. If you choose to subscribe, your email is used to deliver the newsletter; use its unsubscribe link to stop it. A learning-pack purchase does not automatically add you to the newsletter. If you post a public comment or other public contribution, the content and the displayed name or profile information may be visible to others.

Services involved

WordPress.com/Automattic provides website and account services, including Jetpack features. Stripe handles the learning-pack payment service we have tested. Our support correspondence uses Gmail/Google. These providers process information for their services and may also have independent legal and operational reasons to retain it.

Read the privacy information from Automattic, Stripe and Google. Their processing or storage may take place outside your country. External links and embedded media can involve other providers and their own privacy practices.

Information may also be disclosed where necessary to meet an applicable legal obligation or address fraud, security incidents or disputes.

Cookies and your browser

Cookies and similar technologies help recognise sign-ins, maintain account access and operate payment and website features. Statistics and embedded third-party services may also use them. Third-party services may collect information about your activity across different websites. See Automattic’s cookie information for its services.

You can manage cookies in your browser and use any privacy controls offered by the relevant provider. Blocking cookies can affect sign-in, payments or other features. We do not currently offer a verified, site-wide response to browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals; individual providers may handle these signals through their own settings.

How long information is kept

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide account access, resolve requests, maintain necessary purchase and accounting records, and meet applicable legal obligations. The reason for keeping a record may continue after a refund or account closure, for example while a dispute is unresolved.

When information under our control is no longer needed, it should be deleted or anonymised. Retention depends on the type of record and the service holding it; we do not promise a single automatic deletion period for every system. Copies in backups and records independently held by providers may remain under their retention arrangements.

Your privacy requests

You can contact us to ask about information we hold about you, request a correction or copy, or ask for deletion. Rights and exceptions depend on the laws that apply. We may need a proportionate check that the request concerns your own information, but will not ask for your password. If particular records must be kept, we will explain why.

Deleting an access record can affect your ability to use purchased material; we will explain that effect before acting on an account-closure request. An Ed4Peace request does not automatically close a separately held WordPress.com or payment-provider account.

Learners under 18 and classroom use

If a learner is under 18, an adult must make the purchase and take responsibility for the purchasing account. Parents, guardians and teachers can help younger learners use the materials in accordance with the pack’s permissions. Provider account-age rules also apply.

Teachers do not need to send us pupil names, work or other personal information to use the materials with their own classes. Please do not create or submit pupil accounts through a support request. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the website and its services change. The date above identifies the current version. Contact us if any part is unclear or if you need help exercising a privacy right.
