Did you know?

In the U.S., casual greetings like “Hi” and “Hey” are common even in professional settings. However, more formal greetings such as “Good morning” or “Nice to meet you” are typical during first introductions or formal meetings.

In the U.K., people often greet each other by saying, “You alright?” which means “How are you?” but doesn’t necessarily require an answer.
