Here are some useful phrases for giving directions:

  • Go straight: e.g., “Go straight for two blocks.”
  • Turn left / Turn right: e.g., “Turn left at the traffic light.”
  • It’s on your left / right: e.g., “The café is on your right.”
  • Take the first/second street: e.g., “Take the second street on your left.”
  • It’s next to / across from / between: e.g., “The bank is across from the supermarket.”

To ask for directions, use these questions:
