(Present Simple vs. Present Continuous)

A: “I ___ to the gym every Monday and Wednesday.”

B: “That’s a good routine.”



Answer: a) go – Present Simple is used for habitual actions.

(First Conditional)

A: “If it ___ sunny tomorrow, we’ll go to the beach.”

B: “Sounds like a plan!”



Answer: a) is – First Conditional uses ‘if’ + present simple to describe future possibilities.

(Adjectives and Adverbs)

A: “He runs really ___ for his age.”

B: “Yes, he’s in great shape.”



Answer: b) quickly – Adverbs modify verbs, describing how an action is performed.

(Modals of Probability)

A: “It’s already 8 PM; she ___ be on her way by now.”

B: “Let’s hope so.”



Answer: a) must – ‘Must’ indicates a high probability or strong assumption.

(Passive Voice: Past Continuous)

A: “The roads ___ being repaired last week.”

B: “It was hard to drive through that area.”



Answer: a) were – Past Continuous Passive is formed with ‘was/were being’ + past participle.

(Reported Speech: Statements)
